( DTI ) has introduced a new emergency engine shutdown system that
can safely shut down a diesel engine in cases of emergency. This
system can be programmed to shutdown any diesel engine
when it reaches a pre-set RPM or voltage value. The engine
shutdown valve (DTI Engine Guardian System) can be opened and
closed by keypad, keychain remote, master shutdown controller, when
an engine is shutdown the operator is notified by the in-dash keypad
and can re-open the valve, and therefore restart the engine
without even leaving the cab of their truck.
This system can be tested and certified easily by changing the
parameters programmed into the hub or by using the keypad or remote
control.
The DTI Valve fits on the air intake of many models of diesel
engines. It is designed to shut the engine off by locking its
air intake in case engine reaches a dangerously high RPM, low
voltage or other auxiliary input such as oil pressure or water
temperature variance.
Unlike other engine shutdown devices, DTI Engine Guardian
System allows multiple options to control engine shutdown
and open the valve remotely with ease.
